Dear Members,

The long awaited software upgrade and design face-lift has been implemented. There are a huge number of changes, improvements and feature enhancements such as personal blogs and galleries, changes to the way the forum works and the way information is displayed has been radically changed. There are still many things to do such as change the design of the main website so that it is integrated with the forums and some things are not quite right with modifications I need to reinstall; so for now it is still work in progress.

Please explore and try out the new features and do report any problems or bugs you find. Also feel free to ask questions and comment if you like a feature or not or you’re not sure how to use it. It will be a learning curve for us all for a week or two. Anyway I believe it is a change for the better, I hope you do too.

Regards,
Simon

Thanks Pops. I just realised though there is a much better way to make such an announcement e.g. the featured blog post at the top of the forums. This is great!!!

Looking good Simon!

I noticed my RSS feed for the forums on my Google Homepage has not updated since last week. Is this due to the upgrade?

If it is the case, maybe a note in the blog about doing a change to the RSS feed could be mentioned.

Just thinkin'...
Tom

Like the appearance but there used to be a "new posts since last visit" button which was really good. I liked to scan over the new stuff from time to time. Any chance of bringing that back or is it hidden somewhere?

Hi GMO, It confused me at first. See the image below it should answer your question and is IMO much better than previous new content search.

If you have any further questions please ask away.

Thanks,
Simon

I think there is a problem with the page design. I think the "view new content" is there but it's under the "search" field. Sorry, can't seem to post in a screen dump.

Can you tell me a few details:

Screen size
Screen resolution
Browser type and version

Anyone else got an issue with this?

Thanks,

Dear Simon,

I am facing an issue, probably a bug.

Whenever someone adds a new picture to or edit a gallery or add comments to a picture in the gallery or post in a blog, IMO it should be shown under the respective tab on the page appeared on clicking "View new content".
But the case is......
whenever I click "View new content" and then click on "Blog" or "Gallery" tabs, it shows that there is nothing new (as illustrated in attached pic) although there were some thing updated on respective pages.

Attached File  untitled.JPG   10.39KB   2 downloads

Also, whether new comments recently added to a picture are not grabbed by "View new content" under GALLERY tab?

Hope I've explained the problem well!

Regards:
Zeeshan
