Dear All ;
Am working in a five star grade Hotel as microbiologist, before staff commence the work , they have to take their washed uniform from laundry then they have to wear it in the changing room ,then they will go to the production area in different sections , like same as above the washed linen collected from the laundry and used in Guest areas, rooms (bed covers/ face towels etc.,) and restaurants (napkins/ table covers). how we can control the unifrom and linen, because we dont know if there is any microbial contamiantion persist or some forigen objects hided or suspend on the uniform such as hair , insects or any kind of physical contamination can be end up of the product.
we have well established in house laundry. Recent days there is no freshness, no pleasant odour in the linen and gives some bad odour?
is there any testing method to verify the hygiene status of the linen and staff uniforms. Whethere swabbing or sweeping testing method will help? if so please help me on the same.
