Dear All,

We occasionally get requests for references to procedures and validations thereof regarding prevention and control of Listeria / L.monocytogenes in production / processing areas.

I noticed these various (US, Canadian, NZ) documents / links while browsing which may be of some assistance.

Along the same lines there is a comprehensive report on L. mono here: http://www.foodbase....23_FS425012.pdf
The focus is fish and cold smoking, much of it applies to any food processing plant though.

regards

Mike

USDA FSIS recently released an update to its 2006 guidelines (Charles' first .pdf file) in September.

Charles - If you can tell me how to upload a document, I will upload the *.pdf file - otherwise, the link is: FSIS Lm Guideline Sep '12

Dear KTD,

Thks for the update news/link.

Re-uploading, it’s actually quite easy, when you know how. smile.gif
I'm using ffox but i expect most browsers are similar.

Right-Click on the “help” icon in top right–hand corner of any page and request “open link in new tab”
This should generate a page containing a list of various activities.
Click on “Posting” (approx.6th item down) which expands the contents.
Scroll down the page to “attachments” and follow the 2-3 steps described under “default uploader”.
(the third section “managing attachments” provides a little more additional background info.)

The upload progress is shown by a bar-graph and completion by green icon.(added - maybe only green icon if default uploader)

On rare occasions IMEX, the upload can show a little delay but it’s normally quite smooth for pdf files.

PS (added later) - here is the above related FSIS document -
