Well you have to check it over once a year so I don't see that as an abnormal possibility especially being only 2 1/2 years old.

I worked in quality in a plant that had a HACCP plan that was older... about 6 years old now.  This is the first one I have had a hand in creating.  My manager did do a good deal of it but she had my position in her last food plant and has many more years of food quality behind her.

Best way to learn Merle...

Unlike the poor person on the other thread, new job, no training or experience and thrown in the deep end.

Regards,

Simon

Yeah that is a rough situation.  I am having quite a hard time trying to keep up with the work involved in our process.  We are going from nothing to SQF level 3 in about 6 months.  We are going in the right direction but I don't know if we are going to have enough time to get all of the work done in time.  We only have 3 weeks until our desk audit.  We are already starting to prioritize hits trying to shore up things that are Majors and trying to get enough done to only have minors.

We didn't want to do it in this time frame it was a customer requirement to have a GFCI certification by the end of July.  Technically I never worked under an actual GFCI before my previous plant had ISO but was transitioning to FFSC22000 when I left.  However we did have a good HACCP system even if I didn't directly interface with it often.

The sad thing is we would rather add another 6 months to our certification time frame and do it in a better way... but the time frame wasn't our choice.

Found mine starving out on the street, woefully ill clothed and extremely anemic two years ago this June 11th when I first entered the insane world of quality assurance. Since that time it has been revised 6 times. Seems like only yesterday...........
