Do you know about STPP?

People used STPP to soaking fish or shrimp.....with purpose weight gain of product.

Example:

1 kg material become 1.1 kg.

if Stpp keep too long time, what harmful from STTP for product and people?

Dear Tina Huynh,

For safety acceptability, it is necessary to use Food Grade.

From memory, Codex recommends a maximum P2O5 content in the finished product.

Some countries have zero-tolerance for this chemical in seafood products.

Over-use can significantly change appearance of product, eg rubbery texture.

Dear Tina,

It depends what you mean by "quickly" Probably initially easiest to send to a lab to get an idea.

These documents may help with limit percentage P, spec STPP. example, measurement P.
