Will you call the Number E 330 Citric Acid as just Acid in the ingredients list instead of Acidity regulator

 

Saying just Acid seems agressive and may confuse customers.

For products that we are manufacturing using citric acid, we label them as " contains permitted food conditioners (food acids 330)"

Hi

Additive labelling is country or region dependent

 

we tend to use:

 

Acid (Citric Acid)

or just 

Citric Acid

 

but there is currently discussions as to whether or not the FIR will remove the derogation to omit the additive group name where the group name is part of the ingredient name i.e. acid in citric acid
