Would anyone be able to give me ideas or examples how to meet the environmental section of the standard?

What type of assortment is the standard using?

How do we measure impact on the environment?

Currently we just recycle cardboard material. Wastewater is restricted and regulated/ serviced by our local government and controlled by state and federal laws

Any comment  or idea would be very much appreciated

You will need an environmental policy, signed by the person in charge

I have an ariel view (google earth...thank you!) and I have marked off all of the surrounding businesses. I have a RA with all the businesses on and their activities and how they could impact on us.

I have a RA for services to the site that include water, oil etc

I also keep copies of waste licences etc.

We have a register of relevant environmental legislation

And a Business Continuity plan which refers to environmental contamination.

Physically, all chemicals are bunded, drains are coloured (foul water, surface etc) Flammables locked away. Water tanks secured etc etc etc

Hope this helps

Caz,

Thanks, we have most of the elements you mention. But out Tesco auditor wanted a Enviro policy per the standard, but not required of SQF.

How did you fullfill the requirement about setting goals and measuring your progress?
