Greetings all,

I am currently revising our internal specifications for raw popcorn kernel (seeds). I want to ensure 99% crop purity. Is this something that can only be requested from the supplier or is there a testing mechanism I can utilize in-house?

Thanks!

crop purity from what?  dockage?  We have a dockage tester for wheat that you put in a measured amount of wheat kernels and it sieves out anything that's not wheat.  That stuff is weighed and you can tell approximately how much "dockage" there is and we deduct the amount they are paid by that percentage.

Mainly hybrid seeds but I think this has to be done externally?

I will definitely look into the wheat dockage tester! Thank you.
