To Mrs Broccoli:
For sharing.
My country set a minimum of 215 lux (measuring 90 cm from the floor) in the processing area for GMP requirement. However, we also have auditors from Japan mentioning that they require 500 - 600 lux for food processing area.

500 - 600 lux is enough if to make monitoring process easily

As per Gulf EPA requirement, it should be minimum 400 lux and ideal should be in the range of 700-1200lux - This is for the area where you do verification or examining the product. If you are not carrying out any activity, it should be minimum 250lux.

Please remember that all lighting should be adequately protected to minimise the risk of glass contamination to product.
