Ok I have set your topic live again, thanks for the background information.

The link in your latest post does not work.  Do we follow the link in the first post?

Yes, follow the link in the first post please.

Step 1 , Open the link please :
         https://drive.google...dFU&usp=sharing
Download the ZIP file(MD Verify helper V.43.zip), it include all files.
Other picture is show only , the tool don't need them.

Step 2,  Extract all files in the zip file to a new folder where any position in your disk.
However the tool run only on windows. Sorry.

Step 3,  Double click the ThresholdGuide.exe, run it.(No spam, no virus)

Step 4,  Setup your sample times in Wand Sample and Prodcut Sample .
Such as wand sample is 100, Product Sample is 200,
Meaning is you need enter 100 Wand Signal Value Data to every Fe, NFe and SS data area.
The same time, enter 200 Product Detector Signal Value Data to Product Data Area.

Step 5,  Click "Analyze..." button , it will calculate a appropriate Threshold to you .
The same time display failure rate for the Threshold.
         Like this:
A appropriate threshold is 400. In this case:
Metal Missing Reject Rate is 1.6ppm.
Product Wrong Reject Rate is 3.0ppm.

Enjoy it...

Sorry, I need write a detailed user guide for the tool.
However because the tool is still not develop complete . I need still time .
Sorry for you and anyone.
However it can be used. Because inside algorithm was done.

Thank you for your approve.

best regard...

Hello everyone,

I have done a simple Metal Detector threshold set helper for set a reasonable threshold.

If you are interested, you can download it :
https://drive.google...dFU&usp=sharing

And, If you have any problem or question, please contact me and provided your data.

Because your feedback that help me to improve the tool.

The release only basic function, you can enter your sample data to text box,
include Fe,NFe,SS and product sample data.

It will calculate a reasonable threshold and missing reject rate etc.

enjoy...

Dear Planck,

I had a look at yr link.

The .png appeared oddly presented , eg somewhat gibberish -

Attached File  met.det.clipa1.png   6.63KB   7 downloads

The threshold guide appears to contain a .exe file. IMEX guides are usually .pdf. Sorry but no thank you.

Kind Regards,

Hi Planck, can you please provide some background information on who you are, what the tool is, why you developed it etc.

Thanks.

I am a service Engineer that service a Metal Detector manufacturing company . Work area is China.

Our customer include a lot of food production factory.

Now, outside my work , my interest is research Metal Detector's Detector reliability from mathematics side.

The small tool can calculate a suitable threshold after enter a lot of sample data.

And tell you what Missing Reject Rate of Metal and Wrong Reject Rate of Product. Such as 0.6% or 0.6‰ or 0.6ppm.

I think it can make you a better use of the MD and ensure food safety.

Inside algorithm based on a statistics model. So it independent of any actual Metal Detector equipment .

According to my tests, it has a good reference value.

Share reason :

1. get feedback to improve my algorithm from you or anyone here.

2, if you or anyone have analogous verification method, I hope study with you or anyone.

3, other ... my interest etc ^_^...

You are welcome . Anything else ?

Sorry, it is a tool software , no a document. Name error, sorry.

The png file is calculate result based Fe NFe  SS and prodcut's signal value.

Sorry for my poor English. Welcome you continue try it and now start support curve.

Thank you .
