The president of our company wrote this prior to our auditor arriving for our BRC audit.  Name of auditor replaced with *

A Visit from St. ____

With apologies to; Clement Clarke Moore

'Twas the night before BRC, when all through the shop

All the workers were hopping they were ready to drop;

Procedures were vetted, and double checked with care,

In hopes that St. * soon would be there;

The workers were confident, secure in their heads;

While visions of process danced ‘cause of their meds;

And JP in his office, and I to my sorrow,

Had just settled our brains for the audit tomorrow,

When out in the plant there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my desk to see what the f*** was the matter.

Away to the warehouse I flew like a flash,

Tore into the plant - JP even dropped his stash.

The lights with their glint of shatter resistant glass,

Gave a lustre of twilight to inventory below,

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,

But a semi of milk powder; Meals-on-Wheels stuff ready to go.

There was the auditor, Mr. * the name.

This...Is...Epic.

I really needed the Visit from St. ______________, we just had our closing meeting with AIB.  We started with AIB just 2 years ago, so we're new to this process.  We are a very small company, with limited resources, but we keep adding and improving, though our second year inspection was worse than our first.

Overall, we did OK.  The score was higher than either of the 2 previous inspections, but not by a lot.  There were some new programs that I did not word exactly like they wanted, but at least we have the programs now.

I asked the auditor how close we are to a GFSI certification (she does SQF), and she feels that we are pretty close, and that if we do a GAP inspection, that we could move to that next year.  I'm still on the fence about SQF or BRC.

That was the best news of the meeting, so I'm hopeful that we can get that done next year.

I don't drink alcohol, but I think I need something to relax.  Some Twinings Darjeeling would hit the spot right now, hard to find in the wilds of the Eastern Shore of MD.  I think I'll settle for Red Rose and exhale.

We need an emoticon with a cuppa tea.

No, we colonials find unusual tea harder to obtain.  The search is sometimes taxing...Seems someone got upset over some spilled tea in Boston, some time ago...

I drink the Yogi brand teas. They have some nice balanced flavors...

Even though I sometimes put whiskey in mine so that flavor statement may be moot.  :beer:

(I actually do love that song it's so cute)...

That being said.  Maybe it's the 7' of snow Buffalo got that makes you think that.  And no I didn't build a snowman.

That being said we got much less than 7' where I am so I was happy about that.  I should have started a snow export business but the profits may have evaporated HAHAHAHAHAHA  :roflmao: at least the stock would have.

In all honesty... I hate snow.  I hate winter.  I want to move down south to southern VA or NC... or to a country that doesn't have snow in winter.

the reason I love Arizona! I love winter only if I am inside and is all warm and cozy. The feeling might be related to age or not getting "younger" too :D

If you do move to an area that does not have snow, you can always get some fake snow if you start missing it.  There's a company called Snow Business, they can supply fake snow to you.

The only part of snow I could ever miss is the middle two letters:

No

I'm not into golf.. but I've been told what I think of golf is wrong.  Golf is a bunch of people driving golf carts while drunk and sometimes trying to hit little white balls with a metal stick...

I thought it was a sport.

driving golf carts while drunk

Yes, this is the appeal of golf.  It is the same as the appeal of fishing and sports games/ NASCAR, except for golf you have bloody marys, for fishing or hiking you bring So Co, and for sports games you drink beer.

Someone told me it was illegal in this state to fish and drink at the same time, so I don't understand why people do it?  It's like sober karoke or something.  Insane.
