Hi ALL.

 

Can someone please advise how to describe product contact(packaging material)

The packaging i need to describe is an aluminum bag used to package nuts.

how you describe the material should serve as input for the analysis of hazard associated with the product will contain. You must include information on the manufacturer, country of origin, thickness, capabilities, sampling method, you should consider that aluminum is a material that can react with acidic foods

Dear Benito,

 

Do you mean a specification ?

 

For example, one possible specification layout for aluminium lids for yoghurt cups is here -

And, as per previous post, it might be necessary to include some specific parameters as per the context, eg salt resistance ?. :smile:

I think the best way is  to get a DoC (Declaration of Compliance) properly drafted (according to Regulation 1935/2004 and any other EU regulation that applies like 10/2011 if it is a plastic FCM) and use it for describing your packaging material.
