Hi,

I am looking for some advice on how to document a review on quality certificates from suppliers.

We are working towards our BRC standard but in the meantime, our SALSA runs out so we will be renewing it.

In the audit, it says:

"quality certificates have been obtained for suppliers, but some of the suppliers quality accreditation certificates are out of date: Introduce a system to capture expiry dates of certificates and enable a review of certification of suppliers"

I would like to do this part to a BRC level so that I do not have to re-do it again in a few months time.

What is the best way to document this?

I have done the supplier assessment questionnaire and just waiting to get those back from suppliers, just not sure how to document a system which will capture expiry dates of certificates and how I will keep track of when they expire.

Any help would be greatly appreciated  :spoton:

Hi Kerri-Anne

Why not put them in a simple Excel spreadsheet with other relevant information?

Regards,

Tony

Hi Tony,

That is what I was thinking of doing, But for some reason I was doubting myself  and thought that would be wrong?!

I will do it that way I think

Thank you

Hi there

I have an excel spreadsheet which includes my risk assessment (for frequency of review) of the set supplier and then the next due review date at the end. Included in the risk assessment are whether the supplier is ingredient, primary or secondary packaging and the risks of contamination with microbiological, physical, chemical or allergenic contaminants, I am about to update it with a TACCP column or two.

Kind Regards

Julie
