Hi, Can anyone give me some guidance on how to conduct a mass balance on raw material and packaging?

If there is a procedure or template that I could look at that would be great.

Many thanks in advance.

Thks for yr Query and Welcome to the Forum !

Have a look at this recent thread -

http://www.ifsqn.com...=+mass +balance

I must confess that this topic usually leaves me in utter confusion. Various posters have requested illustrative, practical, numerical examples. So far, all the contributions have mystified rather than enlightened me.

It should be so simple, ie -      Input = Output + Losses

The problem as usual is in the (process) details, eg frying causes X%water loss but Y%oil addition.

Kind Regards,
