1.2.1 requires an Organization Chart with the following information

1. reporting lines

2. relationships to corporate head office roles

3. position and persons name

4. responsibility of staff for safety legality or quality

5. responsibility for food safety and quality system

6. documentation for deputies and evidence that the person is able to fulfill the role

How does one put this in a simple Organizational Chart???

Using this as an example of what we see online and what we have done in the past.

I think the OP is asking how to populate that example chart with the food safety organization.

Sorry, I meant the layout is acceptable. I realised that it was an example I thought that was what you wanted to know.

I put the names and positions, reporting lines and relationships to head office (if applicable) on this and then have an attending document with more details of responsibilities, qualifications and deputies.

I guess I was tired when I answered , I had just finished an audit ( my bad as the young people might say)

I think the answer is you don't put all this information in a chart, you supplement with additional documents such as job descriptions.

I quite like the chart in Excel posted by Marshall especially the names !

Tony

Hello,

I just had my first pre-assesment Audit for BRC, we received a minor non conformity for our organizational chart, we are a very small facility with 6 employees on day shift and two on night. I am attaching a copy of the flow chart and asking for suggestions as he states he cannot make sense of this chart it doesn't specify as to who reports to who and who is responsible for what. As you can see I do have that information here so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

pmcfarlane, some suggestions:

1. Make your arrows go only one direction so you can better see the flow. As I read your chart now it looks like everyone reports to everyone.

2. None of your floor employees are listed on the chart, only your management team. They need to be able to see your entire organization on the chart.

Dear All

we are planning to schedule BRC-8 audit in near future. For organizational chart

1. Do we have to write names of individuals like President - Mr. john X

2. Do we have to write roles/responsibilities ??

I just have plane simple chart like president --> vice president --> Operation Manager bla bla bla

Please let me know

Thanks

Yes the people must be named and then attach a document outlining roles and responsibilities.
