Which Suppliers to Include in a Supplier Approval Program?

Hey Guys

 

Need some opinions and comments please

 

Currently I am looking into supplier approval....... I am looking only to have the following

 

Packaging

Chemicals

Food contact  - Belts machinery etc

Transport

Laundry

 

Currently the site I work for are getting the following;

 

Stationary

Office equipment

PPE - gloves, mop caps aprons

 

Is this really required

 

Please comment

It's based on risk Aps. And a big question in the risk assessment would be

 

"can this supplier/product/service affect product quality or safety?"

 

Based on this I wouldn't include stationery or office equipment, but I may include PPE as it goes into the factory floor and could introduce potential contaminants into the product.

PPE = Personal protective equipment
