Hello!

We are moving from manufacturing software that is no longer supported to Microsoft Dynamics GP (M.D.GP) and Batchmaster.

Batchmaster has some QC usable items but I have not seen from any of our preview sessions where it's going to be useful for our SQF documentation requirements.

Would someone be able to advise me if Safefood 360 is compatible with Dynamics GP?  And sharing your experiences of using Safefood to meet your SQF needs?

My IT department has requested I do some research on some software options for what my department needs for SQF.  Since IT is not my thing, needed to ask the gurus of IFSQN for some assistance!

Any other software suggestions would also be greatly appreciated.

Whatever I find has to be able to hook up to M.D. GP

As always, I could not even imagine working towards our SQF certification without this forum and the wonderful peeps who share their expertise and knowledge!

Thank you!

Short answer: Yes, it is compatible with Microsoft Dynamics.

Long answer: Integration of software systems (not just SF360/MS Dynamics) is complex, costly and has a high abandonment/failure rate. Integration opportunities should be looked at only after sufficient time has been spent using the application(s), so that integration opportunities can be identified. Integration should not be the first goal.

Philip or Chris from SF 360 will probably chime in with more/better info.

As far as using SF to meet your SQF needs? It will certainly do so.

Thanks so much, Marshall.  Since I am not at all familiar with MD or Batchmaster, I am waiting until I can get my hands on it to see what it can do and hopefully be able to make it work for some of what we need.  Mainly thinking registers.   I know it has recall capabilities.  I would not move on anything unless absolutely necessary.  The cost of course is the reason for that.

Love to hear from Phillip or Chris too!

I like to gather as much input as possible from those in the know.

@MGourley

Thanks Marshall, couldn't have said it better myself. Or wait... I think I did?!

P.S. Welcome back.... rolling out the red carpet as we speak.  :thumbup:
