Hi Santosh, if you change anything you should change both the revision number and date.

Revision number = the latest approved version

Revision date = the date the last revision was carried out

But to be honest why create work for yourself, it is not important that you change the author, after all you did not author it. As and when you make changes to documents and procedures then change it to your name one by one.

Regards,

Simon

Dear All

This is santhosh from India, I'm newly appointed as FSTL in a spice manufacturing company. The company is IS:ISO 22000:2005 certified.

The FSMS manual was issued by the previous person who was working here as FSTL

Shall i change the author name in FSMS manual?

If i change the author name shall i also change the issue number and date?

or shall i change the revision number and date alone if i change the author name?

Hi Santhosh,

Once details in document reviewed the author name will be changed to the person's name whom revised it.

Yo may have revision history on end every document (eg: manual& procedure) indicating revision, author, effective date and description/reason of change.

This will be helpful for tracking the details.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Malar
