Hi

Any recommendations of companies in the Northeast US who specialize in cleaning biofilm from equipment?

We are a yogurt manufacturer and have identified a biofilm issue in our fruit feeder system

We use ZEP products for this. They have several products that can help you with this. All of our cleanings are approved by NOFA as organic safe cleaning products so they are all in compliance. Hope this helps.

It depends on the equipment.  If it's open and and accessible for manual cleaning, a simple caustic based detergent, contact time and a lot of elbow grease really should resolve it.  It would be interesting to understand how it arose in the first place though so you can prevent it returning.

We use a product from Sterilex. It has a five day protocol to remove biofilms and we have had great results with it. Highly recommend!
