I used to visit your site many times a week to keep myself in the loop with implementation, and SQF Audits. My currrent employer has decided to move forward this time with SQF Level 2, no longer the dream but reality.

Looking forward to get feedback, and asking questions pertaining to Folding Carton manufacturing.

Welcome back Greg.  We are also a folding carton manufacturer but produce none contact cartons which keeps us at level one.  I was curious if you are moving from SQF level 1 up to level 2 because of the change to direct contact cartons, or if you're starting certification at level 2.  I don't see very many folding carton manufacturers here so I would appreciate exchanging ideas with you from time to time if you would like.

Hi Paul, it is great to connect with you on this Forum. I am a firm believer is sharing best business practices to make our industry as great as it can be. We as an organization decided to start off on the SQF Level II, as we were previously audited for cGMP's not utilizing the SQF Code. This is customer, and internally driven for us as we manufacture, direct, and indirect food contact packaging. Our belief is to run all product to the highest standards and move from Level II to Level III. When we are audited this year for beginners it will SQF 7.2, since beginning January 2, 2018 the SQF will be Code 8.0.
