Does anyone have any templates for a log/register of rejects from an X-ray machine.

We need to record the number and type of rejects each day

thanks

Majority of X-rays nowadays are PC-based already which features USB and ethernet ports that allows immediate access to statistical data (like rejects summary) and reject image library. If your unit does not have it, you can refer to your supplier.

Hi,

I confirm the for the greater part of X-ray save the ejection. And with the USB key or the soft (prod x for Safeline, Brain 2 for Bizerba, and SPC@enterprise for Satorius) the log picture of ejection can be save.

It 's dammage that the number Xray-ejection isn' on the weight report than the MD.

It's great you can have photos as suggested above but I'd still keep a log.  For one you need to be sure the contaminant actually rejected and while there are failsafes in place there is no substitute for someone checking it actually has.  I'd also check this every time you do the metal detection check so that you don't end up having a major metal contamination issue you're unaware of until the end of the shift.

So I'd do something along the lines of:

Date                  Time of check    Product                                Test pack (s)                   Number of rejects since last check                 Initials

6th Feb             9:00                    Tasty food 200g                   Pass                               1                                                                      GMO

6th Feb             9:57                    Tasty food 200g                   Pass                               0                                                                      GMO

On investigation at 9am 6/2/18 the pack was passed back through the x-ray three times and was rejected each time.  A piece of metal 2mm in size was found on breaking down the pack.  This was shown to the operators and engineers and no factory source was identified.  Contacting suppliers to see if it matches any known foreign matter at their sites.  Operators made aware in case further finds are discovered.  Should this be the case, the line will be stopped and Technical called to handle the issue.
