Proximity based, are there exposed products that hair can get into, then yes hairnets. If everything is in a closed container, you can usually risk assess them out in SQF. But I'm not certain about BRC.

yes, they should.

You do not want hairs (or other contaminations) on your raw materials and taking this into your process.

It is also very hard, fro my experience) to explain people why almost all have to wear hairnets and some does not. it is the most easiest and honest way to let all your staff comply with the same personal hygiene requirements.

Kind Regards,

Unfortunately zero Product/Process context.

I suspect the "common" practice may also depend on type of "warehouse", eg ambient/frozen.

Kind Regards,

Garry Hi, I work in the drinks industry and we don't apply the rule to the dispatch/warehouse operatives (To my dismay - im a firm believer of one rule for all on site). By the time goods are into that area they are already sealed in bottles or boxes so very little risk. A good old risk assessment is always a good start. We are a BRC A grade site.

We have one rule across all areas hairnets must be worn, seems to work.
