Hi All

I was wondering if anyone had a template for a Hygiene audit for S& D operations? We currently operate 5's audit but its got getting the desired response. Mainly because its too complicated and they don't really understand it.

I don't like to say it but does anyone have a tick box template to assist? I have found plenty of hygiene audits for manufacturing, non of which are relevant to our procedures.

Many Thanks

Hi Sarah,

Add the critical parts to your start up checks e.g. floors, under pallets, scales, benches, fridge(s), freezer(s) etc. are visually clean

During my monthly GMP audit I have a question on the pro-forma that asks "Factory hygiene rules being followed; good standard of hygiene in the factory?"

I'm sure others will have a different approach/ take on this but it has worked for me in the past

kind regards

Andy

Just a quick note on the difference between audits and inspections.  Audits look at historical (what has been happening) and inspections look at current (what is happening).

If I understand properly, I think you're looking for an inspection of some sort?

If so, I'd recommend to both keep it simple but also make it inclusive.  A walkthrough inspection form can address many things, from cleanliness and employee GMPS to fire safety, site security, and pest control.

I made the absolute most bare bones form just to give you an idea of how 'simple to use' it could be.   https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing

To ACTUALLY be useful though, you should look at these walkthroughs regularly (I conduct them weekly, then review monthly) and issue corrective and preventative actions for any recurring issues or findings.
