Dear all,

We just repair the toilet floor and we removed the sink from the toilet , where we were cleaning the cleaning equipment's  (mop , bucket , brush and dust span )

We have a couple spots that we could place it .

First is a unused room that we could put it there .There are 2 doors before the production area .

A second its an outside place but is unprotected but we could bit a shed around this.

Will be acceptable for BRC auditors ? If we decided  to built it outside.

thank you

Best Regards

I would use the room you mentioned. If it is segregated from the production area i don't see an issue during an audit.

Hi Deron ,

thank you for your answer.

If we place it out side and cover it with a shed ,is it a problem ?

The THREE things you have to think about are:

1. Are my cleaning equipment likely to be contaminated in this area?  To which it would seem that the INSIDE spare room is better

2. Are employees going to and from the equipment area likely to be contaminated?  To which it would seem that the INSIDE spare room is better

3. Is my cleaning equipment area likely to contaminate my production areas.  To which it seems that either would suffice.

Based on those criteria, it seems like the INISDE room is the better choice.   Depending on what the 'shed' would look like and how employees move from it, it COULD be ok.  If I were auditing I would be VERY SKEPTICAL of employees moving OUTSIDE and exposed to the elements as part of a sanitation step.
