Dear All

Good Day,

Recently our capsicum that exported to Singapore caught in Singapore custom. after tested the letter we received from AVA  said that our Capsicum contained Dithicarbamates above the permissible level. Even thought we washed and sanitized them in chlorine based chemical but the pesticides residue still in the vegetables.

What is the effective way to remove the pesticides form vegetables? wash in potable water or any other method? Please advice

I would prefer to test few samples of the Capsicum from the deep layers, if the pesticides have penetrated deep into the Capsicum, washing with anything won't be effective to serve the purpose.

you cannot remove pesticides. There are Maximum residue limits for pesticides that you must remain under. The only way you'll know is having your items tested. Some will build up in the produce over time depending on weather or not the pesticide has been applied correctly, and for how long.

Its best if you spend some time educating yourself. This will likely happen again if you don't.
