Hi everyone,

We are a small almond company and ship almonds for industrial use in bulk packaging to other countries (not domestic-USA). We hand stamp the #50lbs cardboard boxes with rubber stamps using a ink pad. We have a BRC audit coming up in April and was wondering if ink need to be food grade? If yes, can someone please provide me some lead to where to get these food grade ink. (note: we do not have liners so cardboard box is in direct contact with almonds).

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Harmeet

Hello Harmeet,

We only show the auditor the SDS of the printing inks. If you have the registration of the ink material the better.

Please see this link below.

If you have customers in european zone, there are ResAP(2005)2, Guidelines of EuPIA and Swiss ordinance SR 817.023.21.

Hope this may help.
