2.7.2 SQF 8.0

Reviewing our vulnerability assessment. My product is pretty low risk, but is often used as substitution for others (raw peanuts are often used as a substation of other nuts)

Since we are a smaller company, we compete with others by offering a lower price.

Does this need be addressed in the vulnerability assessment? And if it does, how would I go about mitigating this risk.

Thank you so much.

Hello,

Since your product is at low risk and is used to substitute to other product, it seems it has no effect in your product. If you use a raw material other than peanuts on your product, and the raw material you substituted is lower grade nuts, that would result to fraudulent act.

Your lower price to your customers does not warrent addressing in your assessment - if you purchase sub quality raw materials in order to offer customers a lower price that would be something that would be addressed in your assessment as the potential goes for issues go up in that situation.
