Dear all,

I need to put filter of air blower as oPRP, but i'm not sure about the critical limit and monitoring activity.

What the critical limit and how to monitor?

Thank You.

Dee

Hi, Dynamic.

What is the hazard? Data seems incomplete. On my experiencce, it is managed by PRP and of course, everything will depend on how you conduct your hazard analysis.

In terms of measurement for filter, what we normally use is magnahelic which provides measure of overpressure. Note however, the scale of magnanehlic will be depending actually on the air balance for the room.

Thank for reply.

Physical hazard (foreign matter) from air intake by blower. To ensure that hazard not contaminate to flour.

It's has any other way to monitor the filter? can I make the size of filter fineness as critical limit?

Hi, Dynamic.

When you purchase the filter or you select the filter, normally, it is the first thing that you need to specify, that the filter you will be installing is fit for your purpose. Then during acceptance, this will then be your basis for accepting the filter delivery.  No matter how small the size the filter size you chose, it will only work as planned if other things such as correct fit, replacement frequency, and etc. are considered. For example, your hazard is around 1mm, even if you install F12 filters and if the installation allow some space between filter and the housing, then it will not be effective. In addition, if your filter is already damaged due to prolong replacement, it might also be not effective.

Btw, I might be overreacting, but what is the hazard again in air? If physical hazard, I think, they might not be "air-borne".  You may want to review again the hazard analysis.

I think the control measure for the hazard that you've identify is only PRP and not oPRP.

Hi Dee,

As previous post, I don't recall ever seeing this as an oprp. Would be covered via Chapter 6 (inter alia) if using iso22002-1 for Prerequisite functions.

The choice of grade of filter has been discussed here previously and typically relates to yr process type, eg RTE/NRTE.

So some further context is required.

Kind Regards,

Charles.C

Hello Dynamic,

AFAIK, oPRP has no defined critical limit, only CCP.

regards,
