Hi,

does somebody have an idea how many toilets and washbasins are needed in an sanitary arrangement when you have the following basic conditions:

four shift-system
maximum 50 people in shift changeover

How many toilets?
How many urinals?
how many shower?
how many washbasins?

are reasonable

Does somebody know any guidelines refering to the mentioned topic?

Regards

Michael

Hi Michael,

As a general guide take a look at the link below for the requirements applicable in the UK. You will have to check whether the same applies in your country:

How many toilets should a workplace have?

Hope this helps.

Simon

The relevant UK legislation is the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. Regulation 20, Sanitary conveniences.

It is possible that this is adopted from European Legislation.

Perhaps you could try and contact the relevant body in Germany similar to our own Health & Safety Executive. http://www.hse.gov.uk

There has to be one.

Simon
