Dear Prashanna,

I am from Kochi, Kerala, but now located in Ghana, in the deep forests one could say, working for a food additive factory which got recommended for ISO 22000 certification only last week.
I am a PG in Chemistry (and English). I was in Mumbai for 14 years where I worked in different factories and different locations. Before coming to Ghana I was in Kochi working for a rubber chemical manufacturing company as the Prodn Manager. I was the MR for ISO 9001 systems there. I have passed the lead auditor course for QMS and intend going for the lead auditor course for FSMS this year having acquired reasonably sufficient knowledge after doing the documentation work and implementation of FSMS in the present set-up.
I think that's enough for 'blowing one's own trumphet'...... :blahblah:

My colleague here is from SL and there are some other Sri Lankans too here.

Best Regards,

A Sankara Narayanan

I'm intrigued. Can I ask how 3 guys from Sri Lanka found our humble abode. :dunno:

I don't remember a recruitment drive in your neck of the woods; that's not to say you are all very welcome all the same.

Regards,
Simon

I thought so.

Like when I was in Mumbai, all the South Indians(Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra) were called 'Madrasis'

Here in Ghana all the expatriates(we have managers from Germany, UK, Romania, Lebanon, Sri Lanka & India) are called 'obroonis'(meaning 'white men' - if I tell my friends in India they are not going to believe it for sure)

Here this confusion also is something like that I suppose......

I don't think every foreigner is from Sri Lanka. I'm dumb, but not that dumb - am I? :helpplease:

Yes, Makandura is close to me. I had sevaral trainees from Jafna university (from your area)when I was working in Tea Research Institute, Srilanka. Among them one was quite close to me called S. Mahendraraj, Now he is an area manager for CIC Ceylon Ltd. in his home area. He was a very good student, and he received the award for the best research at his graduation, for the research done at TRI.
