The same contact who got me a copy of the ISO 22000 results of voting has also indicated that the ISO Committee Draft (Thats the stage before public comment) has passed its vote.

For any of you who don't know ISO 22519 is titled "Traceability in feed and food chain -General principles and guidance for system design and development".

The group dealing with its development is much smaller than ISO 22K but even so that votes appear to indicate a level of popular consensus.

Out of 47 countries 20 were in favour and only 4 voted against - everbody else just abstained or didn't vote - I understand that this is quite a good vote for a CD document and that it is only at the next stage that huge amounts of comments are usually submitted. FYI the negs were USA, Poland, Sweden and Argentina.

Always a pleasure.

ISO 22519 doesn't seem to have the same level of interest as 22000 - is this because we are already on top of this issue and don't need another guidance document cluttering up our work surfaces? ;)

If you ask nicely I can probably get hold of a copy of the result of voting on this document too, along with the comments - but not the draft itself....which makes for a bit of a problem I guess....

Yes please, that would be fantastic LM. Sure it's not so good when you don't know what the comments are referring to, but it may still be of interest.

Thanks,
Simon :santa:

Thanks LM, judging by the comments there's a lot of work still to be done.

Simon
