Product recall of Tesco The Snowman 6 iced jam tarts due to plastic adhering to snowman plaque
Friday, 10 December 2004

Source: http://www.food.gov.uk/enforcement/al...recalltescosnow

Ref: 70/2004 (England)/ 71/2004 (Scotland)

Tesco has recalled its own brand Tesco The Snowman 6 iced jam tarts with all date codes up to and including 'best before' 12/01/05. No other Tesco products or date codes are affected.

Tesco has undertaken a full product recall and are placing product recall notices in national newspapers on Saturday 11 December 2004. In addition point of sale notices will be displayed in all Tesco stores (please note that this product is not stocked in Tesco Express stores).

Tesco are taking this action as the snowman plaques on a small number of tarts still have the plastic backing attached and this may present a choking hazard.

A copy of the product recall notice from Tesco is attached to this Food alert and consumers are advised to return the product to any Tesco Store for a full refund.
