Dear Simon,

I realise I'm somewhat playing a broken record here but do the specs for the board state that any particular browsers are "recommended" or, more accurately, if some browsers A, B etc can be expected to give problems ? I hv met this kind of message on some other [anti-Microsoft] sites - "this site is tailored for Firefox, IE may work poorly and Opera will probably not function".
In my case I hv noticed that both Firefox (including no script + addblock add-ons) and Opera (no extras) will sometimes go to the (selected) latest post in a thread and other times (currently  ) to the first post. However IE6 (!) seems to work perfectly (at this moment anyway) but invites loads of other unwelcome visitors. It's a minor irritation but I wondered if it's a known limitation / any other browsers which might hv more chance. Maybe you've specifically answered this query before in which case my apologies in advance. Seemed to me the board designers must know about such basic things.

I had been blaming the defect on my own Firefox settings somehow since nobody else ever mentions this problem and Opera which I recently switched to seemed to correct the situation. But now I'm not so sure. :dunno:

Rgds / Charles.C

Kind Regards,

Charles.C

As well as new features the new version of the forums software has a number of bug fixes. I will look into the detail to see what is covered and post it here.
