Reporting to the Chief Food Safety Assessment Officer/Senior Vice President, SQFI, the Manager, SQFI Ethical Sourcing will assist with developing strategies for implementation of the program including technical program development, governance policies, procedures, logistics and benchmarking requirements; coordinate ES technical and compliance activities with the SQFI technical team; oversee certification body (CB) activities; coordinate with the SQFI and FMI marketing teams to develop and direct an overall marketing strategy for the ES program to include creating promotional materials, making website updates and participating in meetings and conferences. The ES Manager will also coordinate the financial management of the program and monitor budgetary and financial benchmarks; direct efforts to gain buyer acceptance of the program; work as the primary sales lead to suppliers and other important tasks to make the program a success.
The ideal candidate will have a college degree in business with at least three years of solid experience in business management coupled with relevant sales, marketing, negotiating and budget management experience. Additional skills/experience that will help the manager succeed in this role are strong oral and written communication skills; public speaking/presentation skills; and an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (2010) software. Knowledge and previous experience working with Repositrak is a plus! The position requires travel throughout the United States and abroad.
