*Responsible for managing all issues related to Quality, Food Safety Audits, and overseeing the company’s SQF certification processes. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH THESE AUDITS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST. Prior experience in food manufacturing and quality assurance a plus.
*Reviews current and potential products for quality issues and interacts with related factories regarding any issues or corrections. Serves as point of contact for operations staff (production, materials, warehouse, receiving, etc.) regarding issues related to food safety certification standard, product quality and related areas.
*Drives all SQF Food Safety certification (IFS) related tasks, audits and certification(s) including writing or revising SOP’s, policies and creating forms as required. Will be the primary contact with regard to training Brand Castle staff on HACCP and Food Safety issues and will be responsible for maintaining all certification records including but not limited to SQF certification, OSHA, Social Compliance standards, RSPO membership, etc.
*Understands the Food Safety Policies, GMP’s, HACCP Principles and Food Safety Standards. Is a member of the HACCP Team. Has responsibility to report problems with the food safety management system to identified person(s). Has defined responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions.
