Metrology Engineer/Leader

JOB PURPOSE:
The leadership/ownership and support of metrology equipment in order to maintain production outputs. To include all fixtures and associated equipment and programmes impacting on the efficient running of the metrology function. The planning and scheduling of all metrology work for all product streams and the leadership and development of the metrology technicians in the execution of the workload
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ownership of measurement equipment in all areas.
CMM and similar equipment programming and operation.
Data analysis and the coherent communication of information to the tooling department.
Fault diagnosis, equipment maintenance and supplier liaison.
To provide technical knowledge and support to the Supply chain, project teams and individuals on metrology.
To ensure job activities conform to the requirements of GMP and any customer specific protocols.
Planning and scheduling of metrology workload for all product streams.
Leadership and development of metrology technicians.
Selection of appropriate new equipment as required to meet the metrology workload.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
A recognised apprenticeship
2-3 years minimum post apprenticeship experience
Ability to read and use technical drawings.
Ability to analyse data and recognise and communicate plans of action.
Self motivated and driven.
Leadership skills
