Just sharing. Hope it will be useful to those who are at ISO 22K as their FSMS.

You may add more to it if you want. IMO, its just a matter of compliant for the initial year that is important (there is really no end to it you know....so be sensible about it). Anyway, system update / upgrade should kick in subsequent years.

Hey Charles,

A couple of comments if I may:

Storekeeper > Raw Material Receiving

Should the Storeman also be carrying out a hygiene check on incoming vehicles / goods?

I don't see Continual Improvement mentioned; maybe it could be? After all it's everyone's responsibility.

Great matrix, thanks for sharing (even though you won't let me print). ;)

5 stars awarded from me.

Regards,
Simon

Simon,
Thanks for the flatter. Matter of fact, continuous improvement is part of the FSMS PRP programme as well as the responsibility of the top management and the food safety team. It is therefore necessary to demonstrate through appropriate policies and supporting verification activities.

The international standard requires you update and upgrade your FSMS whenever deem suitable, appropriate or when food safety situations desire review / revalidation of your FSMS or the HACCP Plan or the effectiveness of both tpyes of PRPs.

If you refer to clause 8.5 under "improvement", sub-clause 8.5.1 emphasizes on continual improvement while sub-clause 8.5.2 requires the FSM Team to update the FSM SYstem.

Charles Chew
