My country going to GMO's

Hi everyone,

My country's Minister for Agriculture yesterday declared that the govt is going to introduce GMOs soon.This have really stressed me knowing my country used to provide food for all its citizens and now we cann't provide for ourselves and the bad publicity against GMO's.Any ideas on GMO's is highly welcome.
