Hello to All
I have recently joined the group. We are a seafood processor/importer/distributor.

We are in the process of BRC certification. That is what has brought me here. I look forward to learning from all of you.

Hello Darren,

welcome to our great forum, it is the best Food safety forum I have seen.

I think if you will process in BRC, you would have to BRC gap analysis which I attach to you

Best regards

MNegm

Hello Mohamed
Thank you for the file. As I am somewhat new to all of this, could you explain how this is to be used?

Thank You

Hi Darren, welcome to our forums. I'm sure you will find the members here very helpful and supportive with your project for BRC Certification. There are lot's here who have been there and done it already, so no need to reinvent the wheel. If you have a question please ask.

Hello Mohamed
Thank you for the file. As I am somewhat new to all of this, could you explain how this is to be used?

Thank You
Darren McLellan

Regarding the file that Mohamed attached, I believe that is a gap analysis checklist for the BRC/IOP Packaging Standard (old version) so not relevant to you. A gap analysis checklist is basically a stripped down tick list of a standards requirements. A lot of businesses who develop a Food Safety Management System have a gap analysis audit carried out by a consultant or the certification body themselves prior to the certification audit. It is a good idea and can help you get from 90% to 99% so that the certification audit runs smoothly and successfully.

@ Mohamed – can you confirm the file?

Regards,
Simon

Hi Tony
We choose BRC because several of our primary vendors have already achieved BRC certification. It was either that or SQF. Given the amount of risk assessments BRC requires and my lack of knowledge on the subject, I am not sure it was the best choice.

Hi Helen, tell us more about the restaurant, what is it called and what will be your speciality?
