Our company's been negotiating with a potential new customer, and when the topic of third-party audits came up, it turned out that this customer does not recognize the validity of the third-party audits we're currently going with (Silliker GMP). Instead, they're asking for us to pick one of several, including NSF Cook and Thurber.

I don't know much about this audit, and I'm hoping that someone here can pass on some more information.

Thanks.

Kevin Byrne

Looking up NSF Cook and Thurber, I'm guessing you are based in the USA?

It appears to be a personal preference from your potential customer.

I would be intrigued to hear fellow readers thoughts on Cook & Thurber.

In regards to your Silliker GMP Audit, it doesn't seem HACCP itself is included. Perhaps that's the issue?

Hi Kbyrne,

I am in total agreement with the coments made by JAKMQA.

The Silliker GMP Audit does not fufil the requirements of the full blown HACCP. GMP is only fulfilling the Good Manufacturing Practices requirement which are essenetial for HACCP based systems.

You will need to get in touch with NSF Cook and Thurber and request for more information from them.

Hi Cathy,

We know Silliker does address HACCP but is it specifically addressed in the Silliker GMP Audit?
