KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Bernama) — TPM Biotech Sdn Bhd and International Halal Integrity Alliance Ltd (IHIA) have formed a strategic alliance to conduct consultation, training and workshops on the setting up of laboratories for halal testing and analysis.

They signed a memorandum of agreement to formally endorse the alliance during the World Halal Forum 2011 here last week.

In a statement today, IHIA chief executive officer Darhim Hashim said TPM Biotech was instrumental in providing practical procedures and solutions in developing his company’s module for halal testing and analysis.

“We are confident that this will assist us in setting up the accreditation process to enhance the development and growth of the halal industry,” he said.

Meanwhile, TPM Biotech senior manager Fadzhairi Abd Jabar said the collaboration gave his company an opportunity to heighten awareness and to penetrate into the international market by leveraging on the quality and integrity of its halal analysis package and services.
