BRC Certification and Equipment without COC's

Looking for some help on what to do with our production equipment that do not have COC's.

Hi, is this for version 5 or 6 of BRC? as in version 6 they have removed the requirement for certificates of conformance for equipment

Thanks! I missed that the certification clause had been removed!
I'd be pragmatic. Look at the construction; if it's stainless steel, find out what kind and then you can find info on the internet about suitability of different grades for food contact.
For belts etc, if it's old equipment, it will almost certainly have new belts on it. I would try and get this info from the suppliers of your replacement belting and, if there are belts which are pre-exisiting to you using that supplier. I'd then put in a schedule to plan to replace other belts and a risk assessment; at least you can demonstrate you have a rolling plan of replacement with a supplier for which you have certification and you believe continuing with the existing belts is low risk.

Thanks for all help on this. We have decided to do a checklist for each piece of equipment without a COC ensuring that it meets the criteria that correlates with the GSFI standards
I'm not sure what I would do without this forum!
