Dear all,

We are bakery soon launching new products for a new customer. Our customer would be providing us with packaging material to pack their products. Do we really need to approve the supplier and specification of this packaging material?
Please share your comments and experiences.
I look very much forward to hear from you guys.

Your customer needs to do that.

That packaging supplier should be under your customer's Approved Supplier Program.

Agree with JAKMQA. You may also want to check and get a copy of your customers supplier approval information as you are binging the packaging into your factory and you don't want it to contaminate your process or other customers products. Granted some may see this as taking due diligence to the extreme.

Simon
