In the cut and thrust, parry and counterpunch world of Quality we have to be in pristine physical and mental shape. Therefore it's vitally important we QP's set aside some time first thing in the morning for warming up before donning the gear and diving headlong into our first Poka Yoke bout, personally I always like to warm up with a few light rounds of Kaizen. Of equal importance is warming down after the rigours of the day before rushing off home - I find a couple of dozen star jumps and 30 seconds of running on the spot will usually suffice. This warming up and down helps us to avoid the niggling injuries that can occur when you're a honed athlete, and is imperative if we want to sustain a high level of performance throughout the day without the need for the magic sponge.

AVOIDING INJURIES BY MOVING FROM A CUP OF TEA TO TAI CHI?
