Hi,

Does anyone have an AIB pre audit check list in excel (a column with each row as a requirement and maybe a column with scores)?  I can find them in PDF but I don't want to cop/paste each requirement into an excel file and hae an audit coming up.  I know someone posted one in another thread (like last week!  where'd it go?)  but it isn't in the files section and searching "AIB Checklist" has proven useless due to sheer number of results.

Dear magenta_m,

Did you already try searching the site for "AIB" (use google option) ? (cannot be that many AIB  ). i think i recall the file/thread you mention but it was maybe not in the AIB forum.

PS - perhaps you are thinking of this thread ? -

Thanks!

That wasn't the thread (also none of the threads lined were the thread) ...I went through the entire AIB section (cuz there's only like 30 threads), but it's not there...the google search picks up signatures as well, and AIB and audit are pretty common words.   I checked the library, but there's no AIB preaudit checklist.

You are TOTALLY RIGHT, it was in a thread asking for a pre-audit checklist that was not AIB.  Some one asked for another checklist and someone else posted an AIB checklist, which they had just posted on a similar thread a couple days prior.  It was outdated, but I felt like I could easily go through it and update.

I'll manually copy & paste the standard  into an excel sheet  & post in the library when I finish. Then I'll never have to do it again

I've taken out all of the explanatory bits, so its just the standard.

You can add your own bits as required

YES!  This is PERFECT! It's so exactly what I wanted that I logged in at work to get it :happydance: .  Now I can forget pdfconverter.com or where ever I was.

I will probably format & add scoring etc oclumns, but this is the part I didn't want to do, cuz I'm lazy

Thanks Caz!

Dear magenta_m,

AIB have kindly donated another semi-scientific definition of  "high risk" for yr collection -

High-Risk Operation—Operation that involves food at risk of contamination because it is processed and stored within

temperature ranges from 40°F (4°C) to 140°F (60°C) in a non- sterile environment.

(for other posters, context of above is here -

http://www.ifsqn.com...ge-2#entry72712

I also noticed an innovative definition of  "validation" -

Validation—To establish whether a Program or procedure is correct or not.

Rgds / Charles.C

PS - @Caz, many thks for the work of art

Nooooooo, I'll never learn Validate vs verify

That's quite the range for temperature.  This definition means my factory (chocolate)  is a high risk procedure (right along side meat and dairy!)   Although this would normally be a pain in the CENSORED, it is a tiny coup d'etat for me, as the SQF standard demands hand sanitizer in high risk processing areas and I've been dying to put them in.  So I think I coudl easily justify with the SQF definition  and have a solid second (BRC) and 3rd audit standard to back it up.

I'm not interested in defining the process as high risk for one standard and low risk for another, it'd be a nightmare

You might want to look at Appendix A in the Consolidated Standards for Inspection and go down the list. I would certainly get ahold of a copy of the book and be sure to have policies and programs in place to address the 5 categories.

Yes, that's a good step 1.  The first document they request is rejected shipments, but we don't have any yet.  There are a few records listed there that we do not have because our programs are new, which will be a tad  embarrassing.  For example, we have a master cleaning schedule, but it's only got May filled out.  Etc.
