Not sure where to put this (clean answers only, on a postcard) but as there is not a formal section for environmental, as such (the whole site is really environmental).

We have our stage 2, 2 day audit monday and tuesday, so I think a weekend of stress, over those forgotten things, is in order.

All of the files have been e-mailed home so I should be able to update every thing should I get the heebie geebies.

Will let you all know on wednesday, unless I am too embarrassed :o

Que?

Puzzle I moved your post here as ISO 14001 is a management system. If we get lots of discussions on environmental and H & S issues then I will create separate forums for them.

Good luck and let us know how you get on. :)

Cheers,
Simon

You can tell the stress is rising

Oddly enough I do not have a problem with customer audits nor 9001 etc, but as this is the first real bash with 14001 it seems to be the 'unknown factor' that has got me stressed.

Plus the assessor is Mr N O Senseofhumour

Wey Hey, he has recommended us for certification. :D :D :D :D :D :D

A few minor non conformances and a bunnch of observations, but really pleased for the whole company. Not bad for the first audit and better than my customers first try.

Where's the alcohol

Puzzle do you send a supplier approval questionnaire to your suppliers regarding their environmental systems? If yes, would it be possible to let me have a copy or can you upload a copy?

Cheers,
Simon

Simon,

Yes, but it is incorporated within the normal Supplier Assessment Questionnaire.

The auditor was happy with that. But he did recommend a little expansion of the questions.

I have resisted creating any specific forms, to keep the control easier.

As most of our suppliers are multi-nationals (DuPont etc) they already have the requisite systems in place, but I am not going to cut a supplier out of the supply chain for not having an EMS if they supply toilet rolls !!

When I have updated the form, I shall send you a copy and hopefully you will see haow 'minimalistic' it is

We have had our 14001 certification confirmed :D

I have been promised the certificate by the weekend.

The only problem is it will not have the UKAS logo, as we are part of our certification bodies UKAS registration process. But a full one will be issued when they achieve that :)

The UKAS observer did not want to oversee our stage 2 audit as He 'had been here before'

Not sure if that was agood or bad sign.
