Oh. My. Goodness.

I think the BRC went and did something I never thought they'd do. The interpretation Guide contains the full standard?

From what I have gathered, the interpretation guide has each clause in full and then the interpretation for each clause. Together, one right after the other.

Has anyone else purchased the interpretation guide? Noticed any differences in Part II (the requirements section) ??

I have printed out copies of both and was hoping to do away with pages 13-56 of the standard (just the requirements) and replace with pages 11 - 147 of the interpretation guide.

Dear it-rains-inside,

From what I have gathered, the interpretation guide has each clause in full and then the interpretation for each clause.

And certified to be acted on by auditors accordingly ?

PS - IMEX An interpretation is one thing. A How-to-answer-it may well be something quite different. i looked at some of the, as i understand, no longer free ver.6 "guides". The example for which I was interested in IMO failed to usefully answer the standard's requirements. Although it was useful as an interpretation.

For example, Does the IG contain sufficiently general examples of risk assessments for all clauses where the former are requested in the standard ?. That might (just) justify the cost in human moisture loss for someone entering the field.  (I appreciate the detailed contents are "restricted").

Many Companies are sufficiently shell-shocked by the cumulative fees involved that any QA (it's always QA !) requested add-ons are simply a "you must be joking" response. In this respect, despite all their demonstrated eccentricities, i give SQF a big thumbs-up.

Kind Regards,

Hi There

I will be highly obliged if you can provide me with a copy of interpretation guideline issue 7 if you have for the requirements section.

Thanks

Of course that's what the forums are for.  If you have a question about a particular clause start a new topic and I'm sure members will help you.

Simon
