Hi vhie,
Assuming that the context is iso22000, IMO Simon's link answers yr query, notably, IMO, via Post 6.
Another good example of ISO22000's capability to confuse. In truth "PUP" is being utilised in a variety of ways. And probably "NCP" also.
The details will obviousy depend on product/process/NCP/PUP
