Besides moisture properties, you also need to review the seal strength, seal integrity, tearability and other properties of the desired packaging. This will help you design a safe and quality packaging.

Hello,
what's with gas transfer like oxygen to improve shelf life?
In Europe especially in Germany topics arised in the last years where food is contaminated by gas transfer. Examples are ITX (and other photo initiators used in UV-printing) and MOSH/MOAH, contaminants derived from mineral oil (from printing inks of new papers) if you are using recycled fibers. Even if you are using foils made from PE or PP to pervent direct contact these substances migrate into the products by gas transfer over time. Solutions are to use virgin fiber od barrier foils/films.
