Good Morning All,

Am wondering ... When creating a registry for controlled document does the registry need a controlled document number as well ?

Thank you in advance

The master Document must have a document number and remember every document u have must have a document number for the control purposes, change requests and reviews as well. Hope that helps

If an example helps see the attachment.  This is what I use for our document register and it has been accepted in every SQF audit I've been in.

Our register /INDEX has a date and version on it too. That way if you have 2 versions of the INDEX in you hand you can easily see, and tell which is the latest. The amendment record will also confirm that latest version and what the change was.
